The early stages – Into the West, 11″ x 14″, Oil on linen
As usual, I’m juggling multiple works in progress. This is a new piece recently started, and I finally had some time over the last few days to get back to it. I’m always interested to see an artist’s process, especially the early stages of a painting. The majority of the time the viewer only sees the finished piece, and not the hours spent reworking areas, wiping things out, correcting and adjusting colors and values.
